Now I can post links and other stuff here on the front page. This will not be updated often, and it is not a “blog,” even though it is powered by Blogger. It may, however, be an alternate channel for the sort of casual spam I do occasionally email to people. I will at least use it to point out noteworthy changes or additions to the site.
We’ve got an open commenting mechanism here, at least until it’s subverted by spam. For now you should be able to leave comments without logging in to a Blogger account or anything like that, but if you do post anonymously, please try to sign your message with your name or initials to help us recognize each other. (“We,” of course, are the elite: those who visit anoved.net.) As a spam deterrent, you may have to fill out a captcha when posting comments. You’ll just have to enter the word shown in a warped image.
Clicking the “Comment” link beneath each post will display a list of comments with the form for posting a new one. Click the big title that appears just above each post to view the post and all its comments on one page.
We can format our comments with a few simple HTML tags. Type <b> and </b> around something to make it bold. Italics can be had by using <i> and </i> instead. For a more contemporary touch, <strong> and <em> (for emphasis) can be used in place of <b> and <i>. Lastly, you can even make links to other web pages: <a href="http://anoved.net/2007/01/new-front-page.html">like this</a>. It will look like this.
Older posts will remain available through the monthly archives that are listed at the bottom of the front page.
