I’ve always got a number of little programming projects going in various states of disrepair. Here are a few that are just waiting for the finishing touches:
- Update Bookmark in Yojimbo for compatibility with Yojimbo 1.4.
- Modify yeahconsole, a sliding terminal window, to work better with the Mac and to deliver a few improvements. Complete except for a silly but significant X11 bug.
- Write a tool to convert between UTM and latitude/longitude coordinates using OGR. Available as a Mac OS X Service. Functionally complete; awaiting more flexible input parsing and configuration.
I hope to introduce some more interesting software throughout the year.

As noted in this post, I've updated the Bookmark in Yojimbo script to work better with Yojimbo 1.4.

The coordinate converter project has been concluded without a release. My objective was to learn how to use OGR for coordinate transforms, and that goal was met. The service itself would not have been useful enough to warrant the effort needed to make it robust.
I remain fond of yeahconsole, but I haven't had much time to dedicate to ironing out the kinks in my version. Happily, SIMBL with Visor delivers the same experience, with the added bonus of much nicer Macintosh integration.
